Once Upon a Sketch

I managed to get this challenge done this month.
Another fabulous sketch by the lovely Nadia. We had to use this one plus a quote or part there-of.

A few close-ups.

Once Upon a Sketch

My goodness!! It has been close enough to three months since I have blogged...due to a holiday in Dubai with my family (who live and work there) and illness. Every time I go on holiday these days I seem to come back sick! Took six to seven weeks to get over what I had.
Anyway I have done some pages and challenges at last.
I so loved the sketh this month and I used the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary to do this layout. Am really happy with the way it turned out. I couldn't stop adding little bits and pieces to it. Also did lots of fussy cutting.
The music chippie is painted with pink paint and then covered with shabby pink embossing enamel. Love that stuff! Used texture paste and a mask on the background and then sprayed with mist. Also did some stamping around the edge.

A few close-ups

My journalling is hidden on the tag behind the dark die-cut and this is what it says.

Scrapboutique August Challenges

I have finally done some scrapping over the past weekend as I went away on two retreats...back to back.
The first layout is The Stash Stomper, where every month one of the DT gives us a criteria to use from our stash. I did actually cut these two die-cuts to use on my page.
Thanks Leanne.

The second layout was the Stylist challenge and provided by the lovely Karen Watson.
We had to use unscrapped holiday photos so I used these that I took at Niagara Falls in 2010.
Such an amazing place!!

Kilcoy Retreat

On the long weekend in May I went to a retreat at Kilcoy for four days.
Was lovely to get away with like-minded girls and we had a wonderful time.
So much laughing and frivolity!!
Thought it might be cold but we had beautiful weather. One night was down to 7 degrees and the next night was colder so I think probably about 5. I loved it as I really feel the heat.
Anyway, we did a class with the lovely Gail Lindner. Mine doesn't have any photos on it yet but you can get the idea.

I liked the design of this so much that with Gail's permission I decided to do another layout in softer colours, only this time I used one larger photo and I love how it turned out. This little sweetheart is the daughter of my nephew.

Sketches with a Twist

I really enjoyed doing this LO for Sketches with a Twist. The twist this month was to use sewing so I punched around the edge and stitched all around as well.

Handmade by Suzanne

I did the sketch for Handmade by Suzann this month as well.

Scrapboutique ay Challenges

I've managed to get these challenges done this month plus a couple of others.
The first one we had to do a LO based on how much we love our Mum or alternatively one on how much we love being a Mum.
Had to also have LOVE in the title.

The next one is a sketch challenge.

The third one is the Stash Stompers. I always like doing this challenge as it helps to use up a lot of things hanging around in our stash. This month we had to use Alphas in a different way other than a title.
