Page Drafts 2013 Christmas Release

Em Stafrace put out a call for some scrapping people to do some layouts and cards for her Christmas release of her new sketches. I must say I was very honoured to be included amongst the other amazing girls. I did a couple of layouts and a card.

These are not my favourite colours to work with but this layout came together quite well. Even a little bit of grunge there!

Still trying to catch up with my uploads. Loved the colours for this challenge and this photo was taken one night we went for a wander down the Las Vegas Strip. There are some amazing hotels along that road!

Catching Up

It's been such a long time since I have been on here to update this blog! I've had three months in the US, bought a house outside Las Vegas, been home here for about a month and been busy! I didn't do much scrapping whilst away but have a few things to catch up on...especially CSI layouts.   The first one is for #80.

More Artsy Adventure

What's going on with me??? Three posts in one day! I'm off to the US tomorrow morning for three months and wanted to get this posted before I left. These pics are of another two classes we did with the lovely Trisha Ladoceur Scrap n Patch in Toowoomba. The first is a beautiful file folder that has flips flaps and tags all through it. As you can see I still have to add photos.  

 

 

The next one is the Tag Class we did and we have another little baggie with enough product to make three more tags. These are delightful.

 

 

We also did a manly mini book and a canvas but they're not quite finished. That'll be a job for when I get home.

 

 

 

 

CSI #74

I was really chuffed today as I got featured for the layout I did for #73!!! That's two weeks in a row!   The colours for #74 were beautiful and just right up my alley! I used a Donna Downey stencil and some texture paste and then painstakingly painted over the top.  

 

 

 

Scrap That

I have been wanting to do a challenge for this site for a while so decided to give it a go this month. We had to use a sketch and also the Prima Sunrise, Sunset papers which were designed by Finn. Really beautiful colours and lots of bits and pieces to go with them.

Arts Adventure

A couple of weekends ago a friend and I went to Toowoomba for some classes taught by the gorgeous Trisha Ladoucer from Edmonton in Canada. I did all five of the classes and was a bit wrecked by the end of the weekend. These two layouts are from one class. I have finally put the photos on. I still have the other classes to finish. What an awesome time was had by all who attended.

CSI #73

Another CSI layout and I enjoyed the colours this week. I decided to use photos of DH's car that he has spent a fortune on having done up!!! It really is his pride and joy and he will only take it out for a drive when It's NOT raining...lol!!! Took me ages to get the background done and I'm loving it!! Used texture paste, stencils and ink. I always try and use the "extras" that are given to us instead of rummaging in my stash for papers. This is another Page Drafts sketch...as you can tell I LOVE them!!!

The colours for this week's challenge were certainly not me and I found it a real struggle!!! I used another of Em's sketches to get me started.

Gosh I have been scrappin' up a storm...thank goodness I have some mojo back! Also life just gets in the way sometimes...make that a LOT!! These are not my normal colours I like to work with but enjoyed doing this layout. I've tried to match my background with one of the lovely papers we got from CSI. Sort of looks the same. We also used a sketch by the gorgeous Em Stafrace from Page Drafts...LOVE her sketches!!!

Scrapboutique April/May Challenges

For the April challenge we had to do a layout with NO P/P! A challenge for me from the onset. I didn't finish mine in time but never late than never I say!  

The May challenge was set by Karen and we had to use this sketch, do a layout with a photo/journal about ourself. Not one of my favourite things to do!

 

 

I used some Prima Lyric with other bits and bobs.
